The Monk who wants a Ferrari

The Monk Who Wants a Ferrari

Contrary to popular belief, most 'men of god' or spiritual beings of various faiths still hold dearly to their wants, may be as small a cup of coffee in a particular coffee shop or gargantuan ones like 'parking an Italian Mistress of Speed namely a Ferrari in his own porch probably in a stately mansion. In essence, there would be nothing wrong or right in regards to such wishes and aspirations, but in this case, public perception dictates that 'monks' or spiritually awakened beings are to renounce all worldly desires. How fair would that be? A person that most heed in times of need for emotional and spiritual support is expected to live on handouts and only have his or her needs taken care of by what is dictated to them as appropriate. An emotional tennis match of duality shall exist in most cases as public perception and reality are always at odds with one another. Who are we, as mere mortals to judge a creation of the supreme that serve us in times of discomfort? Lets take Osho Rajneesh as a case study, he was revered by some, hated by most, taunted as the 'sex guru' among many insults, but how many of us, have actually read a line or a chapter off his book before handing him labels and discounting him as a joke? What needs addressing is the mind of the individual needing the knowledge rather than the source, or in our case, 'the monk'. Spirituality and Materialism can and shall co exist till the end of time as it is likened to a kiss. A kiss from a motherly figure assures love and affection, so does a kiss from your significant other, a kiss is still a kiss, circumstances may differ. The question is, are we prepared to say a rose is a rose? Or are we too blind to see? Illayaraaja may have composed spiritual songs like Janani, but he also composed lovely melodies like Sundari from the movie Thalapathi. In conclusion, nothing is black or white in the realms of morality, just what suits the situation and circumstances.

The 11th Hour

It has been a while since I looked, let alone rant in my trusted blog, I wonder why, what has changed and what remains the same.  Off late, well, 2 years and 4 months to be exact, I put myself in an exile, exile from being and living up to my truest potentials. Engulfed myself in negativity, swimming with nay Sayers and ill-wishers. What caused this, I ask myself, well honestly, I don't know. It might have to do with the many failures I've come across, the many heart aches and the many blocks I've stumbled upon in my journey of life. I forgot what it meant to dream, i forgot what it is like fight, with a burning passion, fight, like there's no tomorrow. The child in me,was dead...

The 11th hour arrived, arrived when it shouldn't have. It was too late, the train of life had arrived and left several times by now, too grief stricken to board, too ambitious to let go. It has been a dilemma these past years, between right and wrong, happiness and sadness, but what was one to do? Age had caught up by now, no longer the boy in his 20's with the world at his feet. All that was left was a newly minted man in his 30's, taking life, one day at a time, doing what's right to him and not living to what was him rightfully. The him that he grew into, the him he was raised to become, the him he aspired to be.

Dear 11th hour, I thank you for coming, although too late, you came, you showed and you became my tomorrow. A tomorrow that I could live with, without fretting upon my mistakes, a tomorrow where I could be me. Thank you, o' 11th hour!

My 11th hour, you have showed me, what I truly am made off, what I can achieve, if I put my mind to it. Being raised with the phrase truth alone triumphs, I had my doubt that I would see this day, but prove me wrong you did, I'm humbled I must say.

11th hour, I should thank all those concerned, or catalysts I should say, for without them, there would be no today. Challenged me they have, insults one time or two, but one thing they could never have, was the blessings I have, a blessed soul in many ways.

Blessed with all fine things in life, blessed with love, blessed with the ability to give and receive love without creed, colour nor class. For it is this blessing that made me realise your arrival, your arrival to take me open my path, towards the journey I should take to the a destination unknown to my humbled soul.

I promise you o' 11th hour, that I shall take your presence as a sign, a sign that I need not be discovered, for only things lost need to be found. I promise that with all my souls might, in whatever physical condition I may be, I shall persevere, I shall fight, fight for the old me,fight for the unclaimed territory that has been allotted to me.

It may not be a crusade, for choosing the path of love as compared to hate has always been a choice I have made, but a fight, is a fight, no mistake...

The Power of Prayer

In today's modern and scientific world, many shun the concept of prayer or religion all together. Most apparent are those from Indian and Chinese lineage. The millions of rituals and prayers dating back  thousands od years seem too obsolete for today's thinkers, movers and shakers.

What is there in a prayer? What is so powerful about a prayer that it creates miracles? Does it work all the time? The simple answer,NO. Its not always your prayers are answered or miracles unfold according to your needs or even wants. How many times have you caught yourself wondering what is it that it takes for all your wishes to come true? Don't we all want our hearts desires fulfilled in the sweetest way? I'm not too sure about the rest, but i surely do.

You guessed it right, I'm going through that period of time where all you can do is pray.Pray that all your questions will be answered.Your needs be fulfilled and your wants be bestowed. That time and place where everything you need and want stare at you from a distance and tease you like there's no tomorrow. As a perfectly normal human being, what do I do? Do I simply pray,or do I take things in my own hands?

Well, for now, I'll pray. I pray that I get what i deserve, what I need and hopefully, what I want. Its no secret that i push myself everyday just that little bit more to see how far I can go,how much further than yesterday, how much further for tomorrow. For by a simple prayer,I feel that half the burden has been lifted, and I have another half that would somehow work its way to my benefit....

Does this mean I've given up and hoping for a miracle to happen? Well, certainly not.I'm just gonna take a back seat ride for the next month and remake the man that has been made, for a man who never reinvents himself periodically, will periodically be replaced.

Salt (or the lack of it)

Nazisms basic principles were to create an ultimate race of people. A useful race. A race that's almost flawless in its ways. Lets put it into modern day context.Could we do away with some or many idiots that seem to take up too much space in this world. Could we reduce the need to put up with attitudes and excuses by unwilling people that make promises that would not see the light of day for the sake of holding on to matters that infinitely seem to slip away?

I for one am a believer of Eugenics which form the basic principals of the Third Reich, which after all was formed on my birthday. But looking at the way things are around us,is Eugenics really an applied science? Or is it simply reduced to blokes that make promises with words they grasp?

The Fuhrer's vision of Germania was out of this world by any standards, I would have loved to be a part of it,but life has its own agendas. Idiots never want to lose their grounds and constantly, like an undying cancer cell, spread irritation and pain to lives of those who simply want nothing associated with creatures like themselves.

Its build into our systems to mate with genes that are equal or of better quality that ones self.Does this mean, in time to come, everyone would be equal since theres a balance of inferior and superior genes combined into everyone. Simple answer is no. As many already know, inferior genes tend to be more prominent,so we would probably have more idiots around us. As we are already experiencing. Many would call me a fool, but even The Fuhrer was laughed at. So I'm the least bothered.

Based on all thats happening around me,I sum it up that,Eugenics,is alive. But not as an applied science, but by speech and other acts of stupidity.

Empathy

Many have asked, what is it with me and idiots. What do i have against those who are less intelligent.Well, let me begin by saying,I really don't hate idiots in general.I empathise, i do... yes, many of you might be choking right now,but hear me out. As much as i do not tolerate nonsense, stupidity, rudeness and other endemic behaviors associated with stupidity,I do empathise on every situation before i react or pass judgement. Most of the time, a simple act of empathy might go a long way in solving a problem or issue before it turns into a war. The problem is,once you've empathised, and you realise that people have acted selfishly and simply put stupidly in a situation, you cant help react towards the situation especially when it involves a loved one. What should one do? Just let them be? Let it slip under the carpet to avoid conflict? I don't think so. Recently,a friend consulted me on issues they're facing, major issues.Issues that could have been solved if both parties had empathised and reached a settlement amicably. But since life is not fair for everyone, and everyone is special in they're own way not to mention everyone has they're own flaws,a simple situation has bubbled up waiting for an explosion to take place. I'm irritated, period. Irritated because after countless times of advise and bickering, some people aren't bothered.Like i always say, i didn't get to where i am by sitting around, life's toughest experiences and sweetest memories have nurtured me into what and who i am today. Is sharing all these experiences with people that don't seem to care worth it? why should i waste my time and effort on those who cant care less about themselves in the name of caring for others? Funny isn't it? Yerp, comical indeed. But whatever said and done,'he ain't heavy, he's my brother' comes to play...yes, simply because i was raised in a family where values of ones self matters more than values in his or her bank account, financial standing and gain may be the gauge to how far we've come, but like the saying goes, money with no class is like a car with no engine, its going no where. Back to the topic of empathy, what or how do we gauge as mid point, the accepted way? How do we react as a human being, not a human doing? The answer is simple, norming,or logic. How would anyone react to that particular situation in a normal way, someone with nothing to gain or lose if matters work out or otherwise, someone who's neutral. I for one have been in such situations many a time.A situation where no matter what happens, i stand to lose or gain nothing, just the experience of handling such matters and hopefully becoming a wiser person in the process. Simply put, the next time anyone comes to you for advise or favour, empathise. Empathise with them and see,if your presence would help them in the long run or destroy them.Empathise with yourself if being in that situation is going to cause long run damage to you.Do you stand to gain or lose? For life is short, wasting time making mistakes makes life less enjoyable or simply put, full of suffering.Love yourself more than you would love others, because at the end of the day,its man for himself, and god for the rest.

Freedom of Association

Wikipedia describes Freedom of Association as the individual right to come together with other individuals and collectively express, promote, pursue and defend common interests. This includes intellectual, thought, speech and assembly. Who are we to comment on lives of other if a school of intellectually or mentally challenged individuals decide to assemble, share thoughts with their fellow intellects.
Recent case of this one gentleman being beaten up by an individual know to him for no apparent reason seems all too comical to the mortal mind to digest. It is an open secret that when a bunch of individuals gather around being themselves rebellious in nature, they tend to say things that they might not mean or even if they did,its usually something they wish they could attain.Well, that is freedom of association, it is their right to say or do things, and so is it the right of others to rebel against it,a simple case of you step my toe,i cut yours off.It might sound cruel or even intimidating, but that's life, its unfair to the challenged.
Has it ever struck anyone what this guy who got rolled might have said or done for such a thing to be done towards him? In this case, the attacker hails from a back ground that has more to lose if matters surface,so what could have sparked such actions by someone with such high credentials?
Well, i choose not to comment on the matter. For i know, that idiots shall remain idiots.Behind all that cockiness and bravado lies a soul that's always in denial.Never once have these individuals been taken to task on things they've said.Call that fair? i don't think so...
So why all this noise when finally someone decides to put you in your place for something you said? You and your bunch of like minded people too coward to face the music? Being a fan of Adolf Hitler, i totally support the idea of population control and neutering individuals deemed unfit. No harm could arise from this, we'll have lesser idiots to deal with in future. I know many would disagree with my statement and rise in anger, but well, its my right to freedom,my freedom of association...

To Let Go Takes Love

Food for thought my dear friends....I learned this concept during this training called Manifesting Your Destiny...

"To Let Go Takes Love"

'To 'let go' does not mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else.
To 'let go' is not to cut myself off, it is the realisation that I cant control another.
To 'let go' is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences.
To 'let go' is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To 'let go' is not to try to change or to blame another, it is make most of myself.
To 'let go' is not to care for, but to care about.
To 'let go' is not to 'fix', but to be supportive.
To 'let go' is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.
To 'let go' is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies.
To 'let go' is not to be protective, it is to permit another to face reality.
To 'let go' is not to deny, but to accept.
To 'let go' is not to nag, scold or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.
To 'let go' is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and to cherish my self in it.
To 'let go' is not to criticise and regulate anyone, but try to become what I dream I can be.
To 'let go' is not to regret the past, but to grow and to live for the future.
To 'let go' is to FEAR less and to LOVE more....

We live each day as Human Doing instead of Human Beings...isn't it time we took a step back to evaluate each day as it passes and ask ourselves...who did I show LOVE to today? Whose life did I touch today?

What I've Come To Realise After 27 Years of Life (The Hard Way)

3 days after I had one of my most fulfilling Birthdays in a long time, i'come to realise the following:

1)Humans are unequal creatures
2)Everyman Needs a Job
3)Every man need to do his job well
4)We need dreamers, but too many of them are a pain
5)Socialism is the way forward
6)One may follow his dreams but he has to realise his true calling soon enough not to be ridiculed
7)Just coz u hold a MIC for a living that doesn't make you a musician let alone an artist, that simply makes you noisy.
8)Expecting Idiots to be intelligent is an act of sin
9)Racism lives deep in everyone's soul, denying it is purely dumb
10)A welfare problem that's not addressed most definitely turn into a social problem
11)Ladies are always confused
12)Girl Power is a way for ladies to yak and get their way instead of playing in level playing ground
13)Social enhancement only happens when one takes the effort to read, no level of tertiary education prepares you for that, you just become a richer idiot.
14)Whatever you just read are my thoughts, you don't like it, deal with it....

I have more to rant, but MR ISA from Kamunting might screw me over for mind raping you....

My 2 Cents for Life....

I've been procrastinating for the past 2 years to write a 'Title Post', so here it is:

Ever wondered where you're gonna end up in a decade? Well. I have. It seems as if it was yesterday when I was walking to face the discipline committee for a 'crime' that I hardly remember committing. Dreaming away, having my whole like in front of me, with the sun as the limit. A few bumpy roads, broken hearts, a few setbacks caused by the road less travelled. Today, here I am paying for things that i probably don't deserve, never wanted, let along imagine. Is it true that Karma's a bitch? Well it seems that way at least. Why do we go through hardship? What does Nature have in its master plan? I was speaking to a young friend yesterday. I did mention that swords are sharpened with stones and not velvet. But how long before its sharpened?

Has the Divine given up on me? As tough as I seem from the outside, those near and those dear know the tofu I am inside. So whats with all this exaggerated manliness and hard core no nonsense outlook that going on dude?,one may ask. I've come to learn the hard way that populist moves and behavior is a simple recipe for failure.Well, that's probably got to do with the Immortal that I Idolise, reading and listening to his speeches and forums have made me a much more effective person professionally.Although far from what I imagined it was gonna be like,a void remains in other regions. Since the proof is in the pudding, guess only time can tell.

-rant hour-

Rantings of a Master....

Weird that i chose this title, simply because its the male opposite of a mistress. Have you ever been in a situation where you're filling in for some arse who cant seem to get his act together. Chasing a dream, neglecting other in the process and getting away with promises. Is that truly a road to succeed? What ever happened to i need you by my side to take on the world? No more old fashioned happy endings? Or is it an excuse to keep your loved ones 3 feet away? What ever lame reason you have bag of bones, I've become a victim of your irresponsibility. Well, i would wish you best of luck in your endeavours, but I doubt that's going to be of any help for you. With an attitude and self destruction programmed since birth, you're heading south little wanker, that's for sure. The fact that I'm posting this says how much you've messed in my routine life. The only reason or salvation you have is you know who. I may sound like I'm kidding, but you should try me. And if you ever think you're going to be Scot-free if you mistreat you know who or neglect her after this, I'll surprise you. Last words for this post that's a ranting, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER.....

The Precious Metal Gold
“We have gold because we cannot trust Governments.” President Herbert Hoover

Gold Characteristic

Gold is a chemical element which can only be found and not manufactured. Gold is known for its rarity, softness, density and good in electrical conductivity. Until today, a total of 161,000 tonnes of gold have been mined in human history, as of 2009 (National Geographic: "The Real Price of Gold" by Brook Larmer). This is roughly equivalent to 5.175 billion troy ounces. The following are some gold's characteristic:

Chemical symbol: Au

Atomic no.: 79

Atomic weight: 196.967

Specific gravity: 19.32

Tensile strength: 11.9

Melting point: 1,063 degree

Hardness (Brinell): 25

Karat Gold Conversions

Karat is a measurement of the purity of gold in an alloy. Each karat represents a ratio of 1/24 purity, indicating how many parts out of 24 are pure. Therefore, 24 karat gold is pure, while 18 karat gold is ¾ gold and ¼ alloy (Dictionary of international trade: handbook of the global trade community by Edward G. Hinkelman). Below are some example common used in bullion: -

24-karat = 0.995 to 0.000 pure (fine) gold

22-karat = 0.916 pure (fine) gold

18-karat = 0.750 pure (fine) gold

14-karat = 0.583 pure (fine) gold

10-karat = 0.4167 pure (fine) gold

Source: The ABCs of Gold Investing "How to Protect and Build Your Wealth With Gold" Second Edition - Michael J. Kosares

Gold Weights and Measures

By tradition gold is quoted and traded in troy ounces, these having been adopted by the U.S. Mint for the regulation of coinage in 1828. Unlike 'normal' pounds and ounces there are 12 troy ounces to the troy pound rather than 16. But a troy pound weighs less than in imperial pound (0.82 British/US pounds).

Cutting through all that nonsense a troy ounce is approximately 0.031kg or 31 grams.

Hi People, boredom struck me big time today, I decided to check out my old blog, I found this note I wrote almost 2 years ago, and man is life different these days... I always analyse my days and actions, just to see where I went wrong, until I discovered thats what was wrong...too much analysing can get a lil bit too anal at times... So I wondered, if my life has taken it's turn, I must have done something right... having high spirits probably took me deeper into the ditch... That would mean I ditched my spirit I guess... deeper into thought, no I have not... i'm as spirited as ever... never taking no for an answer...although some of you folks think thats cocky...but I guess thats part of the package...So how different IS life these days? Lets see, the loud part is still true... but not on a grand scale, just towards my family, thats how they like it...the comments part has gotten slightly unreserved, but I do it in private...maturity I guess...Worrying is what I do... so i cant really take that one off...I stopped searching for Ideas, I just create them these days...good or bad they're mine...I live with it...Dad is ever present in my life...the best anyone can have.. still supports me in every given way..that's a debt I know I can NEVER repay...Prayers have become a routine, temple visits (or TEMPLING as it's known to a select few) 3 times a week..I have a totally new group of people I hang out with, whom I met after I wrote the mentioned note..Indeed the best bunch anyone can wish for, practically family, can't go by not calling them once a week...although one of them questions my phone mannerism....New ventures are ever knocking on the doors..very different from back then when I was practically begging for people to hear me out...Had my heart blended and drank shortly after this article..you know who you are.. I hope you lead a happy life...Well, as I always quote my late mom, life is not all that nice, soldiers dont sharpen their swords with velvet do they...Apparently an UNBREAKABLE or UNQUESTIONABLE quote said this person I met on FB..interesting character who owes me a drink btw.. more on that later...I always believed, a smooth sailing life wont make a good book sale, we all want to read stories of hardship, suffering and pain..those books sell well dont they, by selling i don't mean SELLING i mean interesting, can anyone imagine having a perfect story? It would be boring wouldn't it?

So here it is:

Life after 23 years,9 months,22 days and 12 hours later….

October 20th, 2007 by dhayalanrenno

Funny, how all you’ve ever wanted just slips by right before your eyes and all you can do is just watch? Yup, i’m actually having one of those ‘days’ where I feel fucked… Looking back as to how I got here, many memories passed my ’screen’ as some may call it, some are good and some are just screwed. So what was my turning point? Most people remember me as the ever present loud-mouth that just doesn’t give a fuck, always happy and never worried about anything.Today, my comments are pretty reserved, always worried about something, always searching for better ideas, but I still don’t give two fucks.Yep, that’s right,I still don’t care about what you have to say,i’ll still do it anyway. My dad’s been very supportive, mentally and financially, he still believes, that his son will definately make a come back, most of you might have already known that i’ve not been at peak performance lately. I’ve literally lost almost everything, my business is fucked, my restaurant’s gone, repossers are knocking on my doors, legal suites left and right, and so what am I left with?Only my spirit, yup thats right, my spirit to succeed. I’ve always been told, success is a journey not a destination, I’ve always been doing it for money, so from now on, I’m gonna do it just for the sake of doing it.Please do check back with me in a few months just to see if it works.

Christmas to Ponggal ( and eveything in between)

The new year is 13 days old today...lets see how I fared since the 24th of December 2008.

Xmas eve was alright, has a few beers and watched my favourite band play for the last time in my not so favourite place... between christmas and new years was basically internal conflict week between my partners and I. New years day arrived with much hesitation...the worst NYE I have had so far...back to more conflict... still unresolved... Gosh...theres a saying in South India, 'the month of thai bring new hope' oh yeah, just so you know, the festival of ponggal is celebrated in the month of thai according to the hindu calender year is like thanks giving to some us...mostly celebrated in South India to mark the end of the harvesting season, more on that later...but yeah.. i've spent the past 2 years of my life learning and going thru much hardship that I feel even some 40 yearolds dont go thru. But it's all okay I guess, a friend once said, 'the more problems, setbacks and disappointments you face, the more your book on life would be'....he said it to me some 4 years ago....still rings true...anyways folks...take care, lotsa love...even more booze... and ~HAPPY NEW YEAR~

Soekarno...

Hi there, this next article is some what a more serious one, patriotism. It began sometime in March this year after our 12th general elections, which also happens to be Siraj's wedding day. We witnessed many changes and reforms by the ruling coalition and the opposition camps nation wide, also in Siraj's life...haha.... Yes, the people of Malaysia won! We proved ourselves we love this nation and we can work as one, as Malaysia...It was truly a Malaysian victory... However, there was a little something lacking in the eyes of the average Malaysian citizen, (yours truly included), National Spirit...That little something I found in the eyes of our brothers and sisters across the border, yes, our Indonesian friends.

During my monthly business visits to various parts of Indonesia, I can't help but notice the National spirit burning in the eyes of each and every Indonesian, through thick or thin, semangat bangsa Indonesia... Which is in total contrast back home... here,we still address one another based on ethnicity or religious backgrounds... Very different...

One factor would be Soekarno, the first president of Indonesia. Also known as Bung Karno, I have to say, a true leader. A leader of the people, a leader of the Nation. I've managed to get a few videos from you tube in regards to the way he was ousted...Politics, just pure politics... I find it hilarious when people mention DIRTY politics...simply because there's no such thing as CLEAN politics to begin with, right?

So there it it, the first of many jottings on a great leader...I'll be updating this section from time to time once I get more input.....
