Hi there, this next article is some what a more serious one, patriotism. It began sometime in March this year after our 12th general elections, which also happens to be Siraj's wedding day. We witnessed many changes and reforms by the ruling coalition and the opposition camps nation wide, also in Siraj's life...haha.... Yes, the people of Malaysia won! We proved ourselves we love this nation and we can work as one, as Malaysia...It was truly a Malaysian victory... However, there was a little something lacking in the eyes of the average Malaysian citizen, (yours truly included), National Spirit...That little something I found in the eyes of our brothers and sisters across the border, yes, our Indonesian friends.
During my monthly business visits to various parts of Indonesia, I can't help but notice the National spirit burning in the eyes of each and every Indonesian, through thick or thin, semangat bangsa Indonesia... Which is in total contrast back home... here,we still address one another based on ethnicity or religious backgrounds... Very different...
One factor would be Soekarno, the first president of Indonesia. Also known as Bung Karno, I have to say, a true leader. A leader of the people, a leader of the Nation. I've managed to get a few videos from you tube in regards to the way he was ousted...Politics, just pure politics... I find it hilarious when people mention DIRTY politics...simply because there's no such thing as CLEAN politics to begin with, right?
