Empathy

Many have asked, what is it with me and idiots. What do i have against those who are less intelligent.Well, let me begin by saying,I really don't hate idiots in general.I empathise, i do... yes, many of you might be choking right now,but hear me out. As much as i do not tolerate nonsense, stupidity, rudeness and other endemic behaviors associated with stupidity,I do empathise on every situation before i react or pass judgement. Most of the time, a simple act of empathy might go a long way in solving a problem or issue before it turns into a war. The problem is,once you've empathised, and you realise that people have acted selfishly and simply put stupidly in a situation, you cant help react towards the situation especially when it involves a loved one. What should one do? Just let them be? Let it slip under the carpet to avoid conflict? I don't think so. Recently,a friend consulted me on issues they're facing, major issues.Issues that could have been solved if both parties had empathised and reached a settlement amicably. But since life is not fair for everyone, and everyone is special in they're own way not to mention everyone has they're own flaws,a simple situation has bubbled up waiting for an explosion to take place. I'm irritated, period. Irritated because after countless times of advise and bickering, some people aren't bothered.Like i always say, i didn't get to where i am by sitting around, life's toughest experiences and sweetest memories have nurtured me into what and who i am today. Is sharing all these experiences with people that don't seem to care worth it? why should i waste my time and effort on those who cant care less about themselves in the name of caring for others? Funny isn't it? Yerp, comical indeed. But whatever said and done,'he ain't heavy, he's my brother' comes to play...yes, simply because i was raised in a family where values of ones self matters more than values in his or her bank account, financial standing and gain may be the gauge to how far we've come, but like the saying goes, money with no class is like a car with no engine, its going no where. Back to the topic of empathy, what or how do we gauge as mid point, the accepted way? How do we react as a human being, not a human doing? The answer is simple, norming,or logic. How would anyone react to that particular situation in a normal way, someone with nothing to gain or lose if matters work out or otherwise, someone who's neutral. I for one have been in such situations many a time.A situation where no matter what happens, i stand to lose or gain nothing, just the experience of handling such matters and hopefully becoming a wiser person in the process. Simply put, the next time anyone comes to you for advise or favour, empathise. Empathise with them and see,if your presence would help them in the long run or destroy them.Empathise with yourself if being in that situation is going to cause long run damage to you.Do you stand to gain or lose? For life is short, wasting time making mistakes makes life less enjoyable or simply put, full of suffering.Love yourself more than you would love others, because at the end of the day,its man for himself, and god for the rest.

Freedom of Association

Wikipedia describes Freedom of Association as the individual right to come together with other individuals and collectively express, promote, pursue and defend common interests. This includes intellectual, thought, speech and assembly. Who are we to comment on lives of other if a school of intellectually or mentally challenged individuals decide to assemble, share thoughts with their fellow intellects.
Recent case of this one gentleman being beaten up by an individual know to him for no apparent reason seems all too comical to the mortal mind to digest. It is an open secret that when a bunch of individuals gather around being themselves rebellious in nature, they tend to say things that they might not mean or even if they did,its usually something they wish they could attain.Well, that is freedom of association, it is their right to say or do things, and so is it the right of others to rebel against it,a simple case of you step my toe,i cut yours off.It might sound cruel or even intimidating, but that's life, its unfair to the challenged.
Has it ever struck anyone what this guy who got rolled might have said or done for such a thing to be done towards him? In this case, the attacker hails from a back ground that has more to lose if matters surface,so what could have sparked such actions by someone with such high credentials?
Well, i choose not to comment on the matter. For i know, that idiots shall remain idiots.Behind all that cockiness and bravado lies a soul that's always in denial.Never once have these individuals been taken to task on things they've said.Call that fair? i don't think so...
So why all this noise when finally someone decides to put you in your place for something you said? You and your bunch of like minded people too coward to face the music? Being a fan of Adolf Hitler, i totally support the idea of population control and neutering individuals deemed unfit. No harm could arise from this, we'll have lesser idiots to deal with in future. I know many would disagree with my statement and rise in anger, but well, its my right to freedom,my freedom of association...
